For more years than I care to count, I've been earning a crust producing news and features for a broad range of specialised media, ranging from consumer to trade press, and over recent years increasingly writing web content.

Areas of particular specialisation include compilation of travel guides, the meetings and events industry, business travel, and the aviation sector.

Additionally, I've gained considerable experience as 'poacher turned gamekeeper', organising and leading specialist and educational group tours into the UK for overseas clients.

This practical application of my knowledge has given me an insight into the needs of the tour operator and the individual traveller that few others in my position can offer.
